About Nancherrow Holiday Self-catering Cottage
Nancherrow Cottage is a beautiful old cottage with modern conveniences, situated in the quaint quarter of the town known as “Downalong”.
The cottage is just off the main harbour area, close by to all local amenities and beaches, ideal for a family holiday. However, due to the fact that there are six steps up to the front of the cottage, we do not consider it to be “wheelchair friendly”.
But from the point of view of convenience, it is in an enviable position, so close to everything.
Layout of the cottage
From the front door you walk into a lovely open hall/porch area, which has wicker and basket chairs, a bookcase and desk. Ideal as a sitting area.
The large lounge, dining room and kitchen, are located on this ground floor, with a pine staircase leading to a landing leading to four ensuite bedrooms, one with king size bed with ensuite bathroom, one with double room with ensuite bathroom, and two further rooms with king size beds, with shower rooms.
The lounge has a solid oak floor with 2 large sofas, and a large matching chair and pouffe, oak sideboard and two smaller lamp tables, plus matching coffee table. There is a 37” flat screen tv, dvd and vhs player, also a cd player. You will also find a small library of dvd’s and videos.
The separate dining room has a dark polished pine table and eight chairs, together with a small serving table and pine dresser.
The kitchen has a five burner range, plus warming plate, full size dishwasher, very large fridge/freezer, microwave, plus “island” for breakfast use with two upright stools. There is crockery, cutlery and glassware for 8 persons, saucepans, and cooking utensils.
Utility area large cupboard space off the lounge housing the central heating boiler, washing machine, tumble drier and small fridge/freezer, shelves for cleaning materials, and coat hooks.
From the hall area the carpeted staircase leads to the first floor landing, where the four bedrooms are situated:
First Floor
Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
The bedroom is carpeted and the bathroom has lovely Victorian black and white tiles. The bath is free standing, there is a large walk in glass shower, marble wash hand basin and vanity unit beneath, and w.c.
There is a 5’ cream and pine bedstead type bed; fitted wardrobes with mirrors, dressing table and bedside cabinets. Bedside wall lights and central light fitting, flat screen tv, hairdryer. French door leading out to the balcony/sun roof/washing hanging area.
Double room with ensuite bathroom.
The bedroom is carpeted and the bathroom has ceramic floor tiling. There is a bath with shower over and glass shower door, wash hand basin and wc.
The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables and two chests of drawers, flat screen tv, hairdryer, bedside table lamps.

The bedroom is carpeted and the bathroom has ceramic floor tiling. There is a shower cubicle with folding glass doors, wash hand basin and wc. The bedroom has a 5ft king size bed, pretty pine wardrobe and matching chest of drawers, small settle, and 2 bedside cabinets. There is a flat screen tv, bedside lights and a hairdryer.

The bedroom is carpeted and the bathroom has ceramic floor tiling. There is a shower cubicle with folding glass doors, wash hand basin and wc. The bedroom has a 5ft king size brass bed, small fitted wardrobe and drawer unit, bedside tables, a flat screen tv, bedside lights and a hairdryer.
